"Angelus" Kennedy, actually: so named because he's very, very aggressive, disobedient, and plotting against me. That, and his fins are kinda spiky, but he may be using product.

fixed. I can't believe I spelled his name wrong. :(

so he's a teenage beta?

I stand vindicated in my name selection: Angelus, unprovoked, flared up at Julie in an attempt to intimidate her tonight. I think it worked.

a teenage beta? I don't know.
*screams* Blake is Angelus a teenage beta?
Opps, he is asleep. have to find out later. :P
what if he is? what does that mean?

it did not work one bit. although freaked me out because he was flared up for over 5 min. I was not intimidated in the very least.

ok, I'm not blonde, but Blake had to explain to me the joke. oh, the life! *sigh*

Great name. Now you need to get a female fish for companionship and name her Darla. :)

LOL, thanks drew! the name actually fits him. LOL although I say he is more Angel then Angelus! He bruds just like Angel, ect. LOL

Unless I'd want to pull the pieces of what's left of "Darla" from the tank, I don't think I'll be doing that. ;) Male bettas can't be placed with females unless they're mating: otherwise, the male will rip apart the female until she's dead, just like he would another male. Even in mating, the male does a lot of damage.

It's funny, he "vamps out" a lot. His eyesight appears to be really good, as he saw his reflection in a knife I was accidently holding near the tank and all of a sudden he flared out his gills, puffed out his body and his fins and was in full-on attack mode. When I bought him (they keep in them in these horrid little plastic cups with about 3 inches of water in them), I picked his cup out of the row while he had his "game face" on and he went nuts. He started trashing around in the cup, lunging at me through the plastic. He's evil: it's great!
