Jewels -- where are you? Just haven't seen any posts lately. That's fine, or whatever, if you're not inclined, but do hope you're well, and all.
Saw your blog about emergent church literature and such.
The polarization and so on is what, certainly, would be well-avoided, as you guys have stated.
In general, if 'leaders' or spokesmen for ideas were thought of as RESOURCES or gifts God had given the Church -- i.e., something for US, there'd be less problem than if we, the people benefitting from their thoughts, were thought of as something for them [well, the old 'I am of Paul/Apollos/Cephas model]. As H. St. John pointed out, they belong to us [sometimes its warts and all], not 'we belong to them,' ['all things are yours'], thus avoiding the party spirit, eh?
Since I was two weeks old I have moved around with my family, was mostly raised in Mississippi, but found a home in Arkansas. I am a Christian, trying to figure out what God wants and trying to follow the path He has set for me. I feel I have always been in a dance with God. So this has been my life, following God, sometimes with passion, sometimes just following, and other times just not. All I know is He is my Father and I pray we always dance together.
